POSITION TITLE: Heavy Duty Cleaner
DEPARTMENT: Engineering
GRADE/FLSA STATUS: H8-Non-Exempt
BADGE TYPE/COLOR: Work Permit - Peach
REPORTS TO: Supervisor, EVS
SUPERVISES: N/A
Clean and maintain the appearance of the casino’s public areas and restrooms to properly care for the facility and provide a fresh, clean environment to guests
JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Vacuum carpeted areas
Clean trash urns and ashtrays
Sweep and mop tile, brick, concrete, and all other hard surfaces
Clean furniture, machine and chair bases, soiled fabrics, signage, and light fixtures
Safely operate extractor equipment, floor scrubber, shampoo machine, polishing machine, special vacuum cleaners and scrubbers, and escalator cleaning equipment
Identify areas of the property requiring attention to maintenance and cleanliness
Be a participative member of the team by volunteering and being involved in projects, committees, and task forces, by providing input and suggestions
Proactive with incidents and issues, ensuring resolution with employees
Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies/procedures in an ethical manner
Endorse the business objectives, ethics, and values of Caesars Entertainment in accordance with the Code of Commitment and Mission, Vision, and Values
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma/or GED required
A valid N.C. driver’s license is required, CDL preferred, with no more than one (1) DUI conviction or three (3) or more moving violations, three (3) or more traffic citation convictions in the past three (3) years (from date of conviction), or a conviction for suspension or a conviction for at-fault accident within the last 3 years is required
Must demonstrate the following essential knowledge and skills:
Knowledge of floor machines and cleaning equipment
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, shampoos, strippers, and waxes
Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Neat, professional appearance with excellent personal hygiene
Ability to work independently
Documented teamwork behaviors and attitudes
PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
Must be physically mobile with reasonable accommodations
Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino and surrounding property
Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items
Must be able to push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds
Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues
Must be able to work on ladders and lifts
Must be able to read, write, and speak English
Must be able to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations
Must be able to tolerate areas containing varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds, and air quality
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
