Job Description

The Heavy Duty Cleaner is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and safety of all public, back-of-house, and operational areas throughout the property. This position performs deep cleaning, floor care, sanitation, waste removal, and specialized cleaning tasks using commercial-grade equipment and cleaning chemicals. Heavy Duty Cleaners help ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for guests and Team Members while adhering to company standards, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.

  • Perform heavy-duty cleaning of casino floors, hotel public areas, restaurants, restrooms, offices, stairwells, loading docks, and other designated property areas.
  • Operate and maintain commercial cleaning equipment including floor scrubbers, buffers, burnishers, carpet extractors, pressure washers, and wet/dry vacuums.
  • Strip, wax, polish, and maintain hard-surface flooring to established standards.
  • Shampoo carpets and upholstery and complete deep-cleaning projects as assigned.
  • Clean walls, ceilings, windows, vents, light fixtures, and other high-reach surfaces using approved equipment and safety practices.
  • Respond promptly to spills, accidents, biohazard situations, and emergency cleaning requests.
  • Remove trash, debris, recyclables, and bulk waste and transport materials to designated disposal areas.
  • Safely handle, mix, store, and dispose of cleaning chemicals in accordance with company policies and safety regulations.
  • Inspect, clean, and maintain equipment and report repair or replacement needs to management.
  • Maintain organized work areas and identify potential safety hazards.
  • Provide exceptional guest service by interacting professionally with guests and responding to requests in a courteous and timely manner.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in heavy-duty cleaning, custodial services, janitorial services, facilities maintenance, environmental services, or commercial cleaning preferred.
  • Experience operating commercial floor care and cleaning equipment preferred.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, floor finishes, sanitation practices, and safe handling procedures preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated professionalism, dependability, and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, climb, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
  • Ability to work in environments with dust, cleaning chemicals, noise, varying temperatures, and high-traffic areas.
