Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a Heavy Driver with experience in handling concrete, ready-mix, or cement trucks to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving and operating heavy vehicles to transport materials to construction sites and other designated locations. This is a full-time, permanent position with competitive salary and benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy vehicles, such as concrete, ready-mix, or cement trucks, in a safe and efficient manner
- Transport materials to construction sites and other designated locations as per schedule
- Load and unload materials from the truck using appropriate equipment
- Ensure that all materials are safely and securely loaded and secured for transportation
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any issues or damages to the supervisor
- Follow all traffic rules and regulations while driving and ensure the safety of the vehicle and its contents
- Maintain accurate records of materials transported and complete necessary paperwork
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members to ensure timely and efficient delivery of materials
- Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid UAE heavy vehicle driving license
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a heavy driver, preferably with experience in handling concrete, ready-mix, or cement trucks
- Good knowledge of traffic rules and regulations
- Ability to read and understand maps and follow directions
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends if required
