About the role
Position: Heavy Diesel Mechanic
Location: Western Australia
Status: Full time
About You
- Suitable Trade Qualification or Certification
- Must have minimum 5 years’ qualified industry experience
- Demonstrated working experience with heavy vehicles & heavy machinery (Kenworth, Volvo & Mack Prime Movers, side-tippers, bowl tippers, belly dumpers, Cats, Cummins etc.)
- National Police Clearance (within 6 months validity) – or ability to obtain one
- Traffic History Report (within 3 months validity) – or ability to obtain one
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Must have prior experience in ports, heavy transport or mining environments
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with a variety of people
- Ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment, with a proactive approach to task resolution to maintain a high quality of work
- Strong analytical thinker with an ability to make concise and compelling decisions
- Ability to maintain accurate records of work completed
- Have a positive attitude
