About the Role

We are currently seeking experienced Heavy Diesel Fitters to join our Mobile Equipment Maintenance Ancillary Team at Newman Operations in Western Australia. Reporting to the Ancillary Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining fleet reliability and equipment performance while contributing to a strong safety culture.

These current and upcoming opportunities will work a Residential Lifestyle roster (4 days on - 5 off, 5 nights on - 4 off, 5 days on - 5 off, 4 nights on - 5 off, 5 days on - 4 off, 5 nights on – 5 off).

You will get the opportunity to work on a diverse range of industry-leading equipment, including:

  • CAT 994K and 992 Wheel Loaders
  • CAT 16M, 18M and 24M Graders
  • CAT D10 and D11 Dozers
  • CAT 374 and 385 Excavators

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out preventative maintenance, inspections, repairs and breakdown response activities
  • Conduct advanced diagnostics, fault finding and testing on mobile equipment
  • Identify and rectify defects to improve equipment reliability
  • Contribute to root cause investigations and reliability improvement initiatives
  • Support continuous improvement programs and maintenance best practices
  • Review and improve maintenance procedures where required
  • Maintain high standards of safety, housekeeping and quality workmanship
  • Contribute positively to team culture and site performance

About You

We're looking for individuals who demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and take pride in delivering quality maintenance outcomes.

You will hold:

  • Australian-recognised Heavy Mechanical Trade Qualification (Required)
  • High Rist Work Licence (DG, RI, LF) – Desirable
  • Strong technical and mechanical experience, particularly with CAT equipment
  • Proven diagnostics and breakdown maintenance experience on mobile mining equipment
  • Experience working on ancillary equipment highly regarded
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality and procedural compliance
  • Computer literacy and preferably experience using SAP/1SAP
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
