
He angitūtanga: The opportunity
An opportunity has become available for a Healthy Waters Specialist – Catchment Planning to play a key role in shaping Auckland’s stormwater future. Working within the Catchment Planning team, this role contributes to the development and prioritisation of stormwater programmes that support growth, asset renewal and improved environmental outcomes.
You’ll be involved early in the project lifecycle, helping to ensure a strong, well planned pipeline of stormwater projects that areaffordable, buildable and aligned with council priorities. This role is well suited to someone who enjoys collaboration, strategic thinking and seeing good planning translate into real-world outcomes.

He kōrero mōu: About you
You bring a strong background in stormwater or three waters infrastructure, with experience working across planning, project delivery and stakeholder engagement. Comfortable operating in a complex local government environment, you’re able to balance technical requirements with broader organisational priorities.
You build trusted relationships, communicate clearly, and take pride in delivering well-considered, practical outcomes. You also value health and safety, continuous improvement, and are open to growing your confidence in te ao Māori and tikanga in the workplace.
