About the Role:
Snapscale is looking for an experienced Healthcare Virtual Assistant (HVA) to support a US-based home health organization with insurance verification, prior authorization, patient follow-ups, and healthcare administrative tasks.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with insurance verification and prior authorization processing and understands the importance of accuracy, follow-through, and completing daily task-driven workflows. This role requires someone who can communicate professionally with patients, healthcare providers, insurance companies, and other healthcare stakeholders.
Responsibilities may include:
- Perform insurance verification for home health patients
- Process and submit prior authorization requests
- Follow up on pending prior authorizations and insurance-related requests
- Coordinate with healthcare providers, physician offices, and laboratories as needed
- Manage patient follow-ups and recalls related to authorization and care workflows
- Maintain accurate patient records and healthcare documentation
- Provide general clerical and administrative support related to insurance and authorization workflows
- Send HIPAA-compliant emails and messages
- Send secure reminders for laboratory work, procedures, and other patient needs
- Monitor assigned tasks and ensure daily workflows are completed accurately and on time
- Run and maintain reports as required
- Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, providers, and other healthcare stakeholders

Requirements
- Prior hands-on experience with insurance verification and prior authorization processing is required
- Previous experience in a US-based healthcare setting is highly preferred
- Experience working with home health agencies or physician offices is strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of insurance authorization workflows and follow-up processes
- Experience handling patient records and healthcare documentation
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and task-driven
- Able to manage daily tasks independently and consistently meet deadlines
- Comfortable communicating with patients, healthcare providers, physician offices, laboratories, and other stakeholders
- Proficient in using computers, email, Microsoft Teams, and other administrative systems
- Willing to learn and work with client-provided healthcare and communication systems
- Must be willing to work onsite in Davao
