The NC Department of Adult Correction is one of the largest state agencies with more than 14,000 employees. It is responsible for safeguarding and preserving lives and property through prevention, protection, and preparation as well as the care, custody, and supervision of all adults sentenced for violating North Carolina laws. This department includes state prisons with custody, healthcare, and facility operations staff as well as probation/parole officers who supervised sentenced people in the community. We're seeking a collaborative, relationship-focused talent acquisition professional, Healthcare Recruitment Consultant with experience recruiting specialized healthcare talent. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who excels at building partnerships, developing innovative recruitment initiatives, leveraging data and technology, and driving workforce solutions that attract top talent, for the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction.
This is more than recruiting. You'll build partnerships with universities, nursing programs, professional associations, healthcare organizations, and clinical partners to develop long-term talent pipelines that strengthen healthcare delivery across correctional facilities statewide. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with established working hours and may require working beyond normal work schedule to meet business need.

Bachelor’s degree, typically in Human Resources or related field from an appropriately accredited institution and 2 years of experience required; or High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and 5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources; or equivalent combination or education and experience.
