About the Role
HealthOPM is seeking an experienced Healthcare Recruiter with direct experience recruiting healthcare professionals for Canadian staffing agencies or recruitment firms.
This is not an entry-level recruitment position. You should already understand Canadian healthcare staffing and have hands-on experience recruiting nurses and other clinical healthcare professionals across Canada.
You should be comfortable receiving a clinical requirement, understanding the candidate profile needed, determining an appropriate sourcing strategy, and independently taking the search to market.
What You'll Do
- Independently source RNs, RPNs/LPNs, PSWs/HCAs, NPs and other regulated healthcare professionals across Canada
- Build new candidate pipelines through LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, Boolean search, direct outreach, referrals, professional networks and other external channels
- Screen candidates for clinical experience, specialty, licensing/registration, availability, location, travel flexibility and assignment requirements
- Recruit for temporary staffing, travel/contract, permanent and hard-to-fill healthcare requirements
- Conduct candidate outreach and screening and maintain consistent follow-up throughout the recruitment process
- Manage multiple active searches and maintain accurate candidate records within our ATS
- Work with HealthOPM's recruitment and operations team on changing client requirements and recruitment priorities
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience recruiting for a Canadian healthcare staffing agency, recruitment firm or Canadian healthcare recruitment desk
- Hands-on experience recruiting RNs and RPNs/LPNs in Canada
- Strong independent sourcing experience beyond inbound applicants or an existing candidate database
- Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, Boolean search, direct outreach and referrals
- Understanding of Canadian healthcare environments and provincial licensing/registration requirements
- Experience assessing candidates based on clinical specialty, recent experience, licensing, availability and client requirements
- Strong candidate engagement and follow-up skills
- Strong written and spoken English
- Ability to independently manage active searches and candidate pipelines
- Ability to work remotely with reasonable overlap with the Canadian Eastern Time business day
Strong Assets
- Recruitment experience in British Columbia, Alberta, Nova Scotia and other Atlantic Canadian provinces
- Specialty nursing recruitment, including ER, ICU, OR, PACU, Mental Health, Medical-Surgical and Dialysis
- Experience recruiting Nurse Practitioners
- Travel healthcare recruitment experience
- Allied health recruitment experience
- Experience recruiting for rural, remote or hard-to-fill Canadian locations
- High-volume or urgent healthcare staffing experience
