
Milliman's Indianapolis Health Practice is looking for a Healthcare Policy Consulting Intern, who is a current law student, has been admitted into IU McKinney's School of Law externship program, and has an interest in state Medicaid public policy and regulatory analysis to serve as a paid, part-time intern, over a 12-week period. This position provides excellent opportunities for professional development and growth in state and national health policy issues. Our team is able to accommodate a start date as early as January 2026. There is potential for additional terms, in addition to, the opportunity to convert to full-time employment upon graduation. This position provides excellent opportunities for professional development and advancement. The Team
The Indianapolis Health Practice is strategically structured to serve state Medicaid agencies and other health and human services agencies. The policy team provides strategy and program design support for our state agency clients, in close collaboration with professionals from other teams to best serve each of our clients’ unique needs. You will work in a matrix environment, learning from seasoned consultants and gaining exposure to projects across a range of states and agency types. As a member of this team, you will observe how we provide comprehensive consulting services which span from many different disciplines and backgrounds including actuarial, policy, finance, pharmacy, and data management, all working together for a common goal to best serve our clients’ needs.
Location
The person hired for this role will work in a dynamic, hybrid environment, with 2 to 3 days per week of on-site work required in our Indianapolis office on a weekly basis.
