Job Description

Leads the development of strategic healthcare partnerships and business development initiatives that generate sustainable growth, create new revenue streams, strengthen Centers of Excellence and position American Hospital Dubai as a leading international academic healthcare provider.

  • Develop, implement and continuously evolve the annual Healthcare Partnerships & Business Development Strategy aligned with American Hospital Dubai's strategic priorities, revenue growth objectives, Centers of Excellence, and market expansion plans.
  • Identify, evaluate, negotiate and manage strategic partnerships with healthcare providers, insurers, employers, governments, embassies, universities, pharmaceutical companies, medical technology companies, digital health organizations and other strategic partners that create measurable clinical and commercial value.
  • Identify new business opportunities, service lines and commercial initiatives that support sustainable revenue growth, improve market share, enhance patient access and strengthen American Hospital Dubai's competitive position.
  • Develop robust business cases, financial analyses and investment proposals for new strategic initiatives, partnerships, clinical programs and service developments, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and return on investment.
  • Work collaboratively with Clinical Leadership to identify partnership opportunities that strengthen American Hospital Dubai's Centers of Excellence through international collaborations, technology adoption, research, education and program development
  • Establish and expand strategic relationships with corporate organizations, insurers, TPAs and government entities to develop preferred provider agreements, corporate healthcare programmes and value-based partnership models.
  • Identify opportunities to collaborate with pharmaceutical companies, medical technology organizations, AI companies, digital health providers and research institutions to introduce innovative clinical solutions, improve patient outcomes and support healthcare transformation.
  • Monitor healthcare market trends, competitor activities, emerging technologies and international best practices, providing executive-level market intelligence and strategic recommendations that inform business planning and investment decisions.
  • Maintain a structured portfolio of all business partnerships, ensuring each collaboration has clearly defined objectives, governance, measurable outcomes, financial performance indicators, executive sponsorship and periodic performance reviews to maximize long-term value for American Hospital Dubai.
  • Establish governance frameworks, performance indicators and reporting mechanisms to monitor partnership outcomes, evaluate return on investment and ensure continuous improvement across the Healthcare Partnerships & Business Development portfolio.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Health Sciences, Marketing, International Business, or a related discipline from a recognized university.
  • Professional qualifications in healthcare management, strategic partnerships, commercial management or project management would be an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of the UAE and international healthcare markets.
  • Excellent commercial acumen with the ability to identify and develop strategic growth opportunities.
  • Proven ability to establish and manage executive-level relationships with healthcare providers, insurers, employers, government entities and strategic partners.
  • Strong financial and business analytical skills, including business case development and return on investment evaluation.
  • Excellent negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong presentation and executive communication skills.
  • Experience in developing partnership strategies and executing complex commercial agreements.
  • Ability to analyze healthcare market trends and translate insights into strategic initiatives.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple strategic initiatives simultaneously.
  • High level of professionalism, diplomacy and executive presence

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 8–10 years' progressive experience in Healthcare Business Development, Partnerships, and Corporate Development.
  • Demonstrated experience within a healthcare provider, health insurer, healthcare consulting firm, pharmaceutical company, medical technology organization or other healthcare-related sector.
  • Proven track record in identifying, negotiating and delivering strategic partnerships that generate measurable commercial and organizational value.
  • Experience in developing and implementing business development strategies aligned with organizational growth objectives.
  • Experience preparing business cases, commercial proposals, financial evaluations and executive presentations.
  • Experience collaborating effectively with senior clinical, operational and executive leadership teams.
  • Experience working within multicultural and multidisciplinary environments.
  • Established professional network across the UAE and/or international healthcare sector would be highly advantageous.
