• Serves as a professional role model in promoting the understanding, integration, application, and adoption of information technology in healthcare settings. Applies advanced education and experience to effectively address complex challenges in diverse healthcare delivery environments and acts as a liaison between clinical care and information technology, leading caregivers throughout the care continuum in the analysis, design, testing, documentation, implementation, training support, and optimization of software applications or modifications to existing software while establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with co-workers, customers and vendors. The position requires team leadership skills delivered in a complex, highly stressful environment, demonstrating expert use of clinical technology, information sciences and fundamentals of adult learning with a customer service focus. Provides Informatics leadership in initial and ongoing Electronic Health Record (EHR) training and competency validation to care givers and coordinates curriculum development activities.

Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Workforce Education or Healthcare Related field required or 4 years of relevant healthcare experience in lieu of degree.

Licenses and Certification
• Relevant job-related certifications with Epic application certification within 90 days of hire, as applicable
• Active license or certification to practice as a clinician (RN, RT, Dietician, PT, OT, etc.) preferred.
• Informatics certifications or credentialing preferred.

Experience
• Technical: 4 years of ITS and/or operations experience required.
• Must have effective working knowledge and use of Microsoft Office Suite of applications.
• Must be able to type effectively and efficiently take accurate meeting notes.
• Must communicate professionally and demonstrate effective interactions and positive interpersonal skills in dealing with health care professionals.
• Must build relationships with customers, executive management, and other stakeholders and is perceived as approachable and reliable.

Role Specific Responsibilities
Strategic:
• Enhances professional growth and development through participation in leadership and educational programs, current evidence, projects, meetings, and workshops.
• Frequently updates knowledge regarding health care and informatics trends, adult learning methodology, and issues and actively seeks opportunities to apply this knowledge to practice.
• Engages professionally with key leaders, customers, subject matter experts, other ITS staff and vendors to collaborate on and influence the design, planning, implementation, training and problem resolution using effective communication and appropriate follow-up.

Management:
• Gains understanding of system ITS needs.
• Responsible for conducting and facilitating the credentialed training program, promoting Super Users, developing core curriculum training plans and materials.
• Promotes the evaluation of support and training outcomes with the use of clinical information systems, and develops, delivers and measures interventions.
• Stays current with regulatory standards, management and healthcare issues and trends, and legal implications.

Operational:
• Analyzes requirements, maintains, tests, and trains application components in the master training environment.
• Leads and models design and implementation of workflow training consistent with current national informatics and adult learning standards.
• Designs and spearheads communication projects around technology changes, upgrades, and downtimes to customers.
• Provides application software development services and ongoing maintenance / technical support for electronic medical records typically in a defined project.
• Demonstrates excellent skills in gathering requirements, design applications, and documents detailed specifications necessary to maintain and support electronic medical records applications and workflows in the master training environment.
• Documents and maintains accurate records of work performed within the ITSM system.
• Validates and confirms new or changed functionalities to ensure customer specifications are met.
• Maintains system security ensuring patient confidentiality.
• Provides availability for at the elbow and "on-call" emergency solution support and other support duties as assigned by ITS Management.
• Responds and assists customers immediately upon request and follows up on previous interactions to ensure issue resolution, escalation of issue or closure as appropriate considering the dynamic nature of information systems and system priorities.
• Understands and demonstrates effective skills in documenting, evaluating and prioritizing clinical users’ requested system improvements.
• Ensures timely follow-up communication with customers regarding issue resolution.
• Acts a change agent, assisting customers with the dynamic nature of clinical information systems.
• Sets and maintains goals, timelines and commitments, demonstrating proven attention to detail and high level of organization and accuracy.
• Ability to prioritize responsibilities and organize workload to ensure that timeframes are met, and work is successfully completed within deadlines

Compensation (Commensurate with experience):

$59,904.00 - $92,851.20
