Job Description

  • Explain billing related queries to the patient specific to the statement received by the patient
  • Explain the billing cycle process to the patients and the break-up on outstanding patient balance.
  • Develop and implement plans for continuous education across SQ function in the location
  • To set up payment plan / budget plan and explain the same to the patient
  • Follow-up with patient on any return statements due to incorrect / bad address
  • Obtain details of payment (credit card / check) from patient and post the payments to respective accounts / dates of service
  • Edit and release accounts for billing. 
  • Call insurance company or third party to obtain billing information and/or to check claim status or eligibility. 
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures. 
  • Adhere to and comply with information systems security. 
  • Know and follow Information Systems security policies and procedures. 
  • Attend Information Systems security training, when offered. Report information systems security problems. 
  • Work in a spirit of teamwork and cooperation. 
  • Convey a sense of competence and commitment. 
  • Use initiative to learn new skills, enhance personal knowledge and improve communications. 
  • Demonstrate an ability to work well with team members. 
  • Communicate a willingness to help others succeed. 
  • Share workspace and resources as necessary. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
