MPI is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support our Medical Claims department in Studio City, CA. This onsite position will be responsible for activities including data entry, report and letter generation, inventory tracking, and producing communications to internal and external clients.

What You Will Need:
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3+ years’ clerical experience, prior healthcare experience preferred.
• Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word and Excel
• Ability to prioritize work and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
• Demonstrated experience reviewing spreadsheet/reports and reporting findings to management if required.
• Critical thinking skills with high level of attention to detail.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required with excellent spelling and grammar.
• Previous Healthcare/Insurance experience is a plus.
• Accurate typing skills of 45 wpm; 10-key by touch
• Ability to work well with individuals at all levels of the organization.
• Excellent attendance and reliability, with the ability to work overtime as required.

What You Will Do:
• Responsible for composing and mailing all claim letters using departmental guidelines, with minimum accuracy of at least 95%.
• Intake of Adjustment unit correspondence, preparing and updating multiple spreadsheets.
• Managing and communicating status reports to management and external partners.
• Responsible for notating system memos with reported findings.
• Assist, assign and support staff with inventory and workload reporting.
• Take notes and summarize team meetings.
• Provide feedback, when necessary, to help develop, improve, and streamline processes.
• Manually enter claims in QNXT.
• Edit and update letter templates for outgoing mailing.
• Ability to navigate correspondence imaging systems.
• Responsible for preparing BlueCard overpayments.

About Motion Picture Industry Pension & Health Plans

The Motion Picture Industry Pension and Health Plans (MPI) are trust funds established by collective bargaining agreements between many of the unions and employers in the motion picture production industry. They are primarily supported by employer contributions as provided by these agreements.

The Agreement establishing the Motion Picture Industry Health Plan was signed on October 20, 1952 and the Agreement establishing the Motion Picture Industry Pension Plan was signed on October 26, 1953, by various employers in the Motion Picture Industry and over 40 Unions and Guilds representing employees in the Motion Picture Industry.

Contributions are received from employers engaged in the production of motion pictures or engaged primarily in the business of furnishing materials or services for motion picture productions and which have entered into a collective bargaining agreement(s) with one or more participating unions.
