Job Description

Kinetik employees have decades of experience in West Texas and provide all the important services our customers need to deliver gas and crude oil production to market, which include gathering, transportation, compression, processing and produced water management.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, with afterhours work as needed due to business necessity
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for managing field Health & Safety Compliance Specialists as they perform their tasks. Assists the Director in the development and oversight of Health and Safety programs, policies and procedures for the company. Provides expert knowledge and skills to the organization to promote a compliant and positive health and safety culture. Ensures all health and safety laws and regulations are followed.

• Responsible for establishing and monitoring job duties of the field H&S team so that compliance goals and company goals are addressed.
• Monitors performance of the H&S Compliance specialists and conducts performance reviews to meet company expectations, and provides mentoring and feedback to the H&S Specialists to increase skills and knowledge.
• Responsible for ensuring the money spent by the H&S specialists in support of company operations follows company guidelines, and will be responsible for approving PNC reports for the field H&S specialists.
• Will manage time reporting approvals for the H&S Specialists.
• Will be responsible for the development of H&S Goals for the H&S Specialist and monitoring performance of the team to ensure goals are met annually.
• Assist the director to ensure agency & industry reporting information is gathered and maintained as required to ensure annual reporting to OSHA & GPA can be completed promptly.
• Assist the director with developing and maintaining all health and safety compliance programs.
• Responsible for publishing the Health and Safety policies and procedures manual; ensures proper communication and education to all employees.
• Assist the director in ensuring that all employees are trained to perform their job duties and responsibilities relative to health and safety. Maintain a company-wide training matrix and documentation of trainings within company Learning Management System.
• Responsible for maintaining accurate, up-to-date knowledge of all health and safety laws and regulations. Research and report to the supervisor on changes in applicable health and safety regulations and laws.
• Conducts periodic health and safety assessments and audits of existing operations and contractors, preparing and maintaining appropriate documentation and action items within the EHS management system (Frontline.)
• Provides technical assistance and support to company personnel on health and safety related compliance issues.
• Assist the director with contractor orientations through ISNetworld.
• Responsible for incident investigations, root cause analysis and incident report development.
• Responsible for maintaining records for incidents, training and Health and Safety KPI data.
• 10-20% of time spent at plants and compressor stations
• All other duties as assigned

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
• A Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, science, engineering, business or related discipline and three years’ work experience in a health and safety position in the oil and gas industry; OR a Master's degree in occupational health and safety, science, engineering, business or related discipline; OR an Associate's degree in occupational health and safety, science, engineering, business or related discipline and five years work experience in a health and safety position in the oil and gas industry, OR equivalent occupational health and safety experience.
• Must know federal and state health and safety rules and regulations.
• Must have a detailed working knowledge related to health and safety of: Asbestos, Benzene, Confined Space Entry, Control of Work, Driver Safety, Energy Isolation, Fall Protection, Ground Disturbance, HAZCOM, HAZWOPER, Hearing Conservation, Hot Work, Hydrogen Sulfide, Incident reporting and Investigation, Lifting Operations, Lockout/Tagout, Management of Change, NORM, PPE, PSM, Purging, Respiratory Protection, Welding/Arc/Torch Cutting/Brazing.
• Must have the ability to utilize database systems for tracking health and safety action items, documents, monitoring reports, audits and status of procedures.
• Must have the ability to analyze statistical data and graphs.
Working Conditions:
• Field work will involve walking and standing on rough terrain with uneven and slippery surfaces.
• The noise level in the work environment is generally quiet to moderate but may regularly require exposure to loud noises from machinery.
• Will be required to regularly drive to other field facilities within Kinetik.
• Will regularly use a computer to create, record, store, revise and save documentation needed to perform their role.
• Available outside of normal working hours as needed for business necessity.

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
• Ability to work effectively in all working conditions noted above.
• Able to lift and carry up to 25-50 lbs. in a safe manner.
• Ability to talk, listen and speak clearly on a telephone and in-person.
• Ability to possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Must live within a150 mile radius of Midland, TX.
