Our client is seeking a Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Coordinator to help drive a strong safety culture across multiple construction sites. Working closely with the HSE Supervisor, you'll play a vital role in ensuring every team member goes home safely each day while supporting exciting commercial construction projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting regular site inspections, monitoring compliance, following up on corrective actions, overseeing air quality, and helping maintain secure job sites.
  • Developing emergency response and evacuation plans, providing first aid when required, investigating incidents, and implementing preventative measures.
  • Delivering engaging site orientations, toolbox talks, and safety training to ensure workers understand and follow safe work practices.
  • Managing permits, inspection reports, training records, qualification tracking, safety documentation, and compliance reporting.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone who is proactive, organized, and confident in promoting a culture where safety always comes first.

Qualifications:

  • NCSO designation or equivalent health and safety certification and experience.
  • Degree or certificate in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of health and safety experience within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Ontario construction health and safety legislation and industry best practices.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and positively influence safe behaviours.
  • Valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Current CPR/First Aid Certification.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Why You'll Love This Opportunity

Join a well-established and growing construction organization that values safety, teamwork, and professional development. You'll have the opportunity to work on high-profile projects while building your career with an employer that invests in its people.

What You'll Receive:

  • Competitive compensation package
  • Comprehensive group benefits with multiple plan options
  • 24/7 telemedicine access
  • Employee & Family Assistance Program
  • Professional training and career development
  • Mentorship opportunities
  • Fitness coaching
  • Maternity top-up program
  • Wellness, social, and employee resource committees
  • A collaborative and supportive team environment
