We’re looking for an experienced HSEQ Advisor to join our growing Melbourne team, supporting operations across Australia. This role is hands-on, business-facing, and critical to ensuring we continue to deliver safe, compliant, and high-quality projects.

The role

Reporting to the Head of Operations APAC, you’ll play a key role in embedding WHS and quality frameworks across our Australian operations, supporting both employees and subcontractors.

This is a high-visibility role where you’ll be equally comfortable on-site, in front of stakeholders, and working strategically on systems and improvements.

What you’ll be doing

• Provide WHS advice and guidance aligned with Australian legislation (WHS Act & Regulations)

• Experience with Rapid Global or other similar safety management systems is a great advatage

• Partner with managers and site teams to build a proactive safety culture

• Conduct site visits, audits, inspections, and risk assessments

• Lead incident investigations and ensure timely, practical corrective actions

• Maintain and improve registers (risk, hazardous substances, plant & equipment)

• Support development and delivery of training and onboarding programs

• Identify compliance risks and implement mitigation plans

• Ensure reporting of incidents in line with regulatory requirements

• Drive continuous improvement of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems

• Support internal audits, documentation control, and quality processes

What you bring

• Demonstrated experience in a WHS / HSEQ Advisor role in construction, engineering, logistics or similar

• Strong working knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and compliance requirements

• Experience with incident investigation, audits, and risk management

• Confidence influencing stakeholders across site teams and leadership levels

• Ability to translate policy into practical, workable solutions

• Experience with ISO 9001 (or similar quality systems) is highly desirable

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (minimum)

• Diploma or higher (advantageous)
