Health, Safety, and Sustainability Intern
In this role you will be responsible for • Provide assistance for training of team members as needed. • Assist in developing and/or managing safety data tracking systems. • Proficient in: Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and SharePoint, etc. Works with other team members to provide clerical support including: • Assist in conducting hazard and risk assessments in the work place to make recommendations for corrective actions to control and/or mitigate risk. • Work with plant, operations and facility managers to actively identify, control, minimize, mitigate and/or remove risks in site’s day-to-day operations. • Participate in safety audits, front-end process engineering events focusing on risk assessment, evaluation of new processes, and review of facility layouts for potential safety issues. • Conduct industrial hygiene sampling for both physical and chemical exposures. • Support evaluation and update of MSDSOnline system to ensure Safety Data Sheet’s are up to date for the facility • Review and update PPE requirements based on industrial hygiene sampling and hazard analysis.
If you have/are:
Pursuing a degree in Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene and/or related field experience strongly preferred.
