Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 Depending on Experience

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm

Location: 40 Grosvenor Place, London, SW1X 7AW (on-site)

Contract: Permanent, Full time

What are we looking for?

Cleveland Clinic London are looking to recruit a Health, Safety and Fire Manager who will serve as the central point of contact for the hospital, administrative offices, outpatient sites, Institutes and Departments on all matters relating to health, safety and fire. The postholder will be responsible for identifying, monitoring and mitigating health, safety and fire risks across Cleveland Clinic London, ensuring a safe environment for patients, visitors and caregivers. Acting as the organisational lead for health, safety and fire management across both clinical and operational areas, you will work closely with senior leaders to support the implementation of business controls, policies and compliance frameworks, driving a proactive culture of safety throughout the organisation.

W hat will your duties include?

• Be an expert resource for all levels of staff, including management, in relation to Health, Safety and Fire.
• Plan, design and implement controls to manage and improve the health and safety of Caregivers, Patients and Visitors.
• Conduct process and system evaluation, with the view to reduce any health and safety risks to those completing the activities.
• Conduct audits of policy and compliance to standards, including liaison with internal and external auditors.
• Works closely with senior stakeholders across all sites to submit Health and Safety Dashboards, reports and produce the Annual Health and Safety report.
• Leads and manages the planning and co-ordination of external inspections related to HSE; maintains the evidence files to show compliance against the Health and Social Care Act 2008.
• Lead the business on Fire Safety compliance, managing identified actions from external and internal assessments.
• Develop and deliver H&S and fire training on a regular and ad hoc basis to ensure staff are appropriately trained and kept up to date with hospital and legislative requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

What we need from you?

• Demonstrable experience of working as a Health and Safety Manager (Essential)
• Excellent administrative skills and be able to balance demands and prioritise workloads (Essential)
• Knowledge of Health and Safety gained from working within a complex multisite setting (Essential)
• Strong analytical and technical skills (Essential)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages (Essential)
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent or experience will offset the degree (Essential)
• NEBOSH Diploma or currently working towards (Essential)
• NEBOSH General Certificate (Essential)
