Health & Safety Advisor-268470

Join a major utilities infrastructure project and play a key role in driving a strong safety culture across the Syncons project. You will provide hands-on site support, coach operational leaders, support investigations and assurance activities, and help drive continuous improvement in health and safety performance across the project.

This opportunity is suited to an experienced construction or infrastructure safety professional who enjoys being embedded in project delivery teams and influencing safe outcomes in the field.

About the Project

The Syncons project is being delivered across regional NSW, with this position supporting the Wellington project site.

Location & Travel

What you’ll be doing

  • Provide practical HSE advice and support to project teams, supervisors and management.

  • Conduct site inspections, assurance activities, critical risk conversations and toolbox engagement.

  • Support incident investigations, corrective actions and reporting requirements.

  • Coach leaders and workers in the application of safety management systems, critical risk controls and legislative compliance.

  • Monitor site risks, subcontractor performance and continuous improvement initiatives across the project.

What We're Looking For

  • Cert IV in Work Health & Safety or related discipline.

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a Health, Safety & Environment role within construction, utilities, energy or infrastructure projects.

  • Strong understanding of WHS legislation and risk management principles.

  • Incident investigation experience, with ICAM training highly regarded.

  • Ability to build strong relationships, influence stakeholders and promote positive safety behaviours in the field.

  • Strong communication, coaching and reporting skills.

  • Current Australian Driver's Licence & Construction White Card
