Salary - £28,000 - £32,000 per annum depending on experience plus company car

We’re looking for a passionate Health & Safety Advisor to join our team, supporting a proactive safety culture across our UK & ROI retail store network. In this field-based role, you’ll promote best practice, ensure consistent implementation of health, safety and environmental standards, and monitor compliance across the retail stores estate. Working closely with colleagues at all levels, you’ll play a key role in minimising risk, protecting our people and customers, and maintaining a safe, healthy environment across our stores.

Working from home with regular time out on the road visiting stores, with a company car and fuel card provided, you’ll have the freedom to plan and organise your own work schedule with some flexibility on hours depending on business needs.

As part of this role, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Assisting in the roll out and communication of Health, Safety and Environmental procedures and guidance.
  • Conducting Health and Safety team meetings across the retail estate to reduce high risks and engaging teams in health and safety.
  • Investigating accidents and incidents to ensure all details are recorded, route cause established with remedial actions captured.
  • Being a source of health and safety advice, providing support and assistance to project teams and store managers on health and safety matters.
  • Participating in the delivery of a robust audit and inspection programme.

You will need:

  • NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a multi-site health and safety role.
  • Good working knowledge of current health and safety legislation and best practice.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Highly organised and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to travel across the UK & ROI at short notice.
  • A full, valid UK driving licence.
