TasWater’s Capital Delivery Office (CDO) is seeking an experienced Senior Safety Advisor to play a key role in driving safety excellence across a major infrastructure and capital works program.

The TasWater Capital Delivery Office (CDO) is an Alliance between TasWater, UGL, CPB and WSP, established to deliver an accelerated capital delivery program that improves services for communities across Tasmania.
The core business of the TasWater Capital Delivery Office (CDO) is to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of quality capital works projects for TasWater that will meet the needs of TasWater’s business, their stakeholders and Tasmanian communities for years to come. The Opportunity
This role will be based on the Selfs Point Sewer Transformation Project. Reporting to the Project Director, the Senior Safety Advisor will provide hands‑on advice and operational support to project teams, ensuring safety programs, systems and initiatives are effectively implemented and continuously improved.
You will work closely with project management, site teams and key stakeholders to identify and manage HSE risks, promote a strong safety culture, and ensure compliance with legislative and organisational requirements.
Key responsibilities
Minimum Requirements
Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety (or related discipline)
Significant experience in safety, health and environmental management within construction or infrastructure, preferably in a Tier 1 Contractor.
Strong knowledge of WH&S, environmental and workers compensation legislation
Experience developing and implementing safety management systems
Sound working knowledge of ISO 45001 (and ideally ISO 9001 / 14001 / 31000)
Incident investigation experience and audit capability
Strong reporting, documentation and stakeholder engagement skills
Current C Class driver’s licence
