
Health & Safety Advisor
Location:Partridge Green (on-site)
Salary:£35,000 – £45,000
Contract:Full-time, permanent (40 hours, flexi-hours available)
About the Opportunity
We are partnering with a well-established UK manufacturing business with strong growth ambitions and a collaborative, people-focused culture. This is an excellent opportunity to join a site where health and safety is a core operational priority.
The Role
A hands-on Health & Safety Advisor role, working closely with operational teams to promote safe working practices, ensure legal compliance, and support continuous improvement across a busy production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide practical H&S advice to managers and colleagues on-site
Conduct inspections and audits, ensuring actions are completed
Develop and review risk assessments, COSHH and safe systems of work
Investigate incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and improvements
Deliver inductions, toolbox talks and briefings
Maintain H&S records, documentation and KPI data
Support emergency planning, drills and follow-up actions
Work with Production and Maintenance to improve safety controls
Assist with contractor management and safe systems of work
Support ongoing H&S improvement initiatives
Requirements
Essential:
Experience in a Health & Safety role within manufacturing or industrial environments (or similar)
Strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation
Experience with audits, risk assessments and incident investigations
NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent)
IOSH membership (or working towards)
Confident communicator with a practical, solutions-focused approach
Desirable:
Experience with dust/fume controls, hazardous environments or similar risks
Fire safety knowledge
Contractor management / permit-to-work systems
ISO 45001 auditing experience

Timely completion of audits, inspections and actions
Effective risk assessment and SSOW management
Delivery of training and inductions
Positive audit outcomes and legal compliance
