
The Health Policy Analyst supports the design, implementation, and evaluation of policies and programs aimed at increasing the affordability and lowering the cost of health care across the health system, in support of the Green Mountain Care Board's regulatory duties. The analyst's portfolio spans reference-based pricing, prescription drug pricing and affordability, hospital global budgets, primary care investment, and hospital and health system financing. The analyst applies policy, data, and research expertise to inform decision-making, support leadership priorities, and ensure alignment with the organization's mission to advance equitable, high-quality, and affordable care. This position reports to the Green Mountain Care Board's Affordability and Pricing Project Director.

Duties are performed primarily in a standard office setting.
Master's degree in policy, public administration, public health or a related field.
OR
Bachelor's degree in policy, public administration, public health or a related field AND two (2) years experience or more in a public or private health policy analysis and research organization, public health organization, or a health care setting. Education or experience must include work on current health policy and health care reform issues, such as Accountable Care Organization issues, payment reform, health insurance regulation, or hospital regulation or financing.
Experience working with regulatory boards under Vermont’s Open Meeting Law.
