Reporting to the Health, Safety and Training Manager, the primary purpose of this role is to provide strategic advice and support on the Safety Management System application across all departments.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
• Assisting in developing, implementing, and monitoring health and safety systems and initiatives to allow for the delivery of business objectives.
• Development, coordination and implementation of risk management activities.
• Engaging with workforce and supervision teams to promote health, safety, and wellbeing activities.
• Promoting and maintaining a high level of positive safety performance and workplace culture.
• Liaising with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Taking all reasonable steps to minimise the impact on the environment.
About you:
• Hold tertiary qualifications in OHS.
• Previous experience in risk management.
• You have an overriding commitment to driving a workplace safety first culture.
• Developed leadership skills and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Maintain a high level of positive safety performance and workplace culture through teamwork, personal commitment, and application of the company values.
• The ability to work both autonomously, part of a team, as well as leading a team.
