The Health Management Analyst II supports the Sedgwick County Health Department by coordinating and submitting grants through the Grant Reporting system and provides oversight of the day-to-day billing functions. The position ensures an effective Health Department fiscal system that supports the agency’s mission to improve the community’s health. The position is responsible for assisting the Finance Manager with Federal and State grant reporting. The employee will provide support during public health emergencies (Activation Level 1).

Prepare and coordinate Health Department grant application development, approval process, and submission.
Minimum Qualifications: One year of experience in financial reporting, contract management, or a related field. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business, psychology or a related field. Education may be substituted for experience, with one year of education for one year of experience. Must complete Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) IS 100 and 700 courses within 30 days of employment.
Preferred Qualifications: Three years of experience in financial reporting, contract management, or a related field. Master’s Degree from accredited college or university in Public or Business Administration or a related field.
