Job Description

In this position, one will oversee the daily Health Information Management operations to ensure the accuracy, integrity, confidentiality, and availability of patient health records. This role supervises HIM staff and workflows related to record completion, release of information (ROI), document imaging, data integrity, and compliance with HIPPA, state and federal regulations.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

• We are a drug free facility. Passing a pre-employment drug screening is required

Education/Experience Requirements:

• Validation of a High school diploma/GED required
• Preferably a graduate from an approved Health Information Management Program with credentials of RHIT or RHIA.
• 3-5 years of experience in a HIM department highly preferred.
• One year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels and ages of patients, hospital staff, including medical staff as well as third parties.
