Among other things, the selected candidate will:

  • Manage and oversee electronic and paper client records.
  • Maintain responsibility for safeguarding the privacy and security of client Personal Heath Information.
  • Review, develop, educate/train staff and implement health information plans to assure compliance with state, federal, accrediting and funder organization or regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and analyze key data elements within the client record, assessing timeliness, accuracy, and compliance with Medicaid and funder requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Manager and the Director of Quality and Risk Management to address data integrity concerns and drive process improvements

Established in Cobb County in 1973, at the invitation of then-Gov. Jimmy Carter, Devereux Georgia provides individualized services and supports to meet the needs of every child in its care. We use individual, group and family therapy, coupled with a fully accredited school, to develop a safe, therapeutic and welcoming community where children can grow, develop and thrive.

Qualifications

Education Bachelors’ Degree in Health Information Management, Human Services, or related Field. Experience may be considered in lieu of Bachelor's degree.

Experience Minimum of two years’ experience working in the behavioral health, quality improvement, or health information field preferred; related health care and quality management experience may be considered. Experience in auditing, compliance, surveying, credentialing, and HIPAA regulations is essential. Proficient computer skills, mastery of Microsoft Office applications and data collecting/analyzing platforms (myAvatar and/or other internal and external software applications pertinent to the position). Outstanding organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and multi-task, to maximize efficiency. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Requires ability to work independently, prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and adhere to established guidelines.

Other Qualifications:

  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Valid Driver's License and Satisfactory Drug Screen and Background Check results.
  • Must be able to complete a two-week, paid new hire orientation class; hours are approximately 8:30am to 5:30pm daily.
