About the role:

PwC is aiming to recruit a market leading Financial Recovery, Improvement and Transformation Director that focuses on the NHS. The candidate should have relevant experience selling to and working with clients within the NHS and related bodies. PwC’s focus is to help clients with complex business transformation. There is a recognition that most if not all of these transformations are underpinned by complex technology change. The Financial Recovery, Improvement and Transformation Director will be active in the market and instrumental in architecting and winning financial recovery, improvement and turnaround work with a continued hand in delivery.

PwC currently provides financial recovery leading into medium to longer term transformation services to a variety of NHS clients. Demand for these services is growing as the NHS ICSs, ICBs and Trusts need to become more efficient to reduce cost but also become more productive to better deliver the operational targets. The candidate should have senior relationships within, and experience of operating across NHS ICSs, ICBs and Trusts and a track record of driving a pipeline in this area. This should include opening up opportunities and seeing these through the sales cycle and to successful delivery. The candidate will be able to shape and sell programmes that include all types of financial recovery and improvement programmes, and the ability to create opportunities and on sell further work such as digital transformation programmes and the implementation of complex IT systems and cloud based solutions.

What your days will look like:

  • Work with partners to unlock opportunities across the firm, accelerate new business capture and ensure delivery excellence on sensitive engagements
  • Work with our clients to grow revenue, remove complexity, scale globally, reduce costs and set our clients for success in the digital age
  • Navigating the financial recovery, improvement and turnaround landscape
  • Identifying and driving opportunities with clients for transformation
  • Proactively leading the market, developing and closing financial recovery, improvement and transformation opportunities within the NHS and similar bodies

This role is for you if:

  • Have experience of leading client interactions around the sale (as well as the delivery) of financial improvement and turnaround, along with experience of transformation programmes involving multi-disciplinary teams
  • Possess extensive emerging knowledge and implementation of how to drive a business value case
  • You are a trusted adviser, with a track record of advising senior executives (C-suite level) and company boards on executing large scale turnaround and transformation within a broad network of senior stakeholders in public sector organisations
  • You have a sound appreciation of the market, the key players and what they offer in this sector
  • You have experience in selling propositions in financial recovery and turnaround
  • You can demonstrate the ability to build effective relationships with third-party delivery organisations required to deliver complex transformation programmes
