Job Description
PAY: $24 per hour. On-Call time is paid at 3 hours of regular rate, time worked is paid at regular rate for a minimum of 2 hours.
REPORTS TO: Manager of Operations
SCHEDULE: Shifts are scheduled as on-call from 7a-11p, staff must be within 20 minutes of the Health Center while on call. Schedule is flexible with weekend rotation during the academic year (September to beginning of June) and 5 weeks during Exeter Summer (July to beginning of August).

Position Purpose
Transport students to off-campus medical visits by providing transportation, companionship and general assistance with the administrative aspects of a medical visit.
Job Responsibilities
- Carry and respond to cell phone.
- Drive students to and from off-campus medical facilities (using Academy provided vehicles).
- Keep track of related paperwork.
- Inform Health Services staff of student’s status.
- Return student to Health Center along with instructions for follow-up care.
- Maintain documentation of medical visits (location, time, etc.).
- Pick up and drop off medications as requested.
- May be asked to drive for other departments as needed
Position Requirements
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Some college experience helpful.
Experience
- Basic familiarity with health care environment helpful.
- Experience working with adolescents in an educational setting preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
Skills & Knowledge
- Ability to provide a clean and reliable passenger vehicle required.
- Knowledge and understanding of all motor vehicle laws and safe drive guidelines.
- Knowledge of adolescent issues and experience interacting with adolescents strongly preferred.
- Respect for diversity of identities and experiences, an orientation toward equity and inclusion, and cultural competency in all aspects of Academy life
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to develop and maintain collegial relationships.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills.
