Job Description

Our client, a home care agency, is looking to hire a Health Care Recruiter who will own the full recruitment lifecycle with a primary focus on the Coordination Division. This is a high-impact role responsible for sourcing, attracting, hiring, and onboarding top talent across all levels, while ensuring each new hire is positioned for long-term success.

Beyond filling roles, the Health Care Recruiter is accountable for placement quality, onboarding excellence, and early retention, playing a critical role in building and sustaining a high-performing team. This position offers strong growth potential within the broader HR and People function.

Responsibilities:

Sourcing & Recruiting

  • Own end-to-end recruitment for the Coordination Division across all levels, from entry-level to senior positions.
  • Proactively source candidates through job boards, social platforms, referrals, networking, and creative sourcing channels.
  • Build and maintain strong, forward-looking talent pipelines to support current and anticipated hiring needs.
  • Screen, interview, and assess candidates for role alignment, skill fit, and cultural alignment.
  • Coordinate and manage the full interview process, including scheduling, interviewer feedback collection, and communication with hiring managers.
  • Partner with leadership to extend and negotiate offers.
  • Ensure candidates have a clear understanding of role expectations, responsibilities, and performance standards prior to start date.

Onboarding & Training

  • Own and facilitate first-day orientation and onboarding for new hires across the organization.
  • Ensure all pre-employment and new hire documentation is completed accurately and on time.
  • Confirm new hires are fully prepared for day one, including system access, materials, and role clarity.
  • Manage internal transfers, ensuring smooth, well-documented transitions between roles.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for new hires throughout their onboarding period.

Candidate Experience

  • Act as the primary point of contact for candidates throughout the recruitment process.
  • Deliver a consistent, professional, and timely candidate experience regardless of hiring outcome.
  • Maintain clear and proactive communication from initial outreach through onboarding.

Retention & Quality of Hire

  • Partner with managers to support successful integration of new hires beyond initial onboarding.
  • Track retention milestones at 90 days, 6 months, and 12 months.
  • Identify trends or patterns related to turnover and surface insights and recommendations to leadership.
  • Take ownership of placement quality, focusing on long-term success rather than volume alone.

People Operations & HR Partnership

  • Partner with HR leadership on people programs, policies, and process improvements.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of onboarding programs and overall employee experience.
  • Support compliance efforts by ensuring hiring and onboarding practices meet company and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as a trusted resource to employees and managers on people-related topics.

Reporting & Operations

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate and employee records in the applicant tracking system.
  • Track and report on recruiting metrics including time-to-fill, offer acceptance rates, and retention outcomes.
  • Collaborate with HR and operations partners to continuously improve recruiting and onboarding processes.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of recruiting experience, ideally in a high-volume or fast-paced environment.
  • Experience recruiting for coordination, operations, or similar roles strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to proactively source and build talent pipelines from scratch.
  • Experience owning onboarding and new-hire training processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to manage multiple open roles and onboarding processes simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working in a performance-driven environment.
  • Experience using applicant tracking systems and recruiting tools.
