Job Description

Healthcare Dining Attendant - Per-Diem
Pay: $19.67-$20.57/hr, based on experience
$2.00/hr. shift differential and $1.00/hr. weekend differential

Join our dedicated Dining Services team at Kendal at Ithaca, where every meal is an opportunity to make a difference. As a vital part of our community, you’ll assist in preparing and serving nutritious meals, ensuring cleanliness and safety, and helping create meaningful dining experiences for residents and guests. Whether you're supporting behind the scenes or interacting directly with residents, your role contributes to a warm, welcoming environment rooted in respect, care, and trust.

Schedule:

  • Per-Diem Weekday hours 4:00pm - 7:00pm
  • Per-Diem Weekend hours 11:00am - 7:15pm

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver friendly and efficient service in a variety of roles, including server, buffet attendant, or dishwashing or serve residents in Health Services, ensuring adherence to dietary requirements and therapeutic needs
  • Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and compliance with food safety guidelines (HACCP, NYS DOH)
  • Cultivate a positive dining experience by providing attentive, courteous service

Qualifications:

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
  • Friendly, courteous, and helpful attitude; clean and neat appearance
  • Physical requirements: stand and walk most of the shift, lift up to 40 lbs
