Job Description

Planned Parenthood Western Pennsylvania (PPWP) is the local affiliate of the country’s leading sexual and reproductive health care advocate and provider.  PPWP operates five health centers located in Allegheny, Westmoreland, and Cambria Counties and provides education and advocacy services throughout western Pennsylvania.   
The purpose of this position is to support the delivery of comprehensive sexual and reproductive healthcare, including clinical abortion care and family planning at Planned Parenthood Allegheny County locations. This position serves our Greenburg location. This role requires a combination of skill and flexibility, as well as a willingness to work as a collaborative and inclusive member of a team. This role requires a compassionate individual with demonstrated communication skills and clinical proficiency.

COMPENSATION and BENEFITS:      Hourly compensation: $21.50 per hour      Full Time employees are eligible for Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance      Generous PTO, Sick and Vacation benefits      Paid Holidays QUALIFICATIONS:      High school degree or equivalent required,       Customer service experience required      Excellent oral and written communication skills      Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:      Consistently demonstrate appropriate service behaviors in interactions with patients and colleagues      Actively contribute to an inclusive workplace culture by working collaboratively as a valued member of the care team       Proactively work to resolve conflict and perform service recovery, as needed       Administrative duties include answering phones, making appointments, taking messages, transferring records for patients, and ensuring completion of health center records and required forms      Perform patient medical and social history intakes and provide education as indicated for the services patients are seeking as directed by supervisor/clinician on duty      Complete basic lab work and follow procedures as required       Provide patients with non-judgmental pregnancy options counseling and make referrals for service based on the patient’s choice      Perform all recordkeeping duties related to patient care with accuracy      Perform housekeeping and stocking duties as needed      Complete HIPAA and OSHA training and other training as required  SCHEDULE:                                                                                                                                       ●Alternates Monday through Friday and Tuesday through Saturday 8am- 5pm●Some evening and Saturday shifts may be requiredPlanned Parenthood of Western Pennsylvania is an equal employment opportunity employer and is committed to maintaining a non-discriminatory work environment, and does not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.  PPWP is committed to creating a dynamic work environment that values diversity and inclusion, respect and integrity, customer focus, and innovation.
