The purpose of this role

As part of our commitment to delivering exceptional customer service, we’re growing our network of Visa Medical Assessment Centres so we can provide a Bupa experience for our visa applicants in the communities where they live. This has created a range of frontline and leadership roles in new purpose-built medical centres and opportunities to grow your career with a global health care brand where our customers are at the heart of everything we do.

We’re looking for: 

Experienced pathology collectors, with a minimum of 6 months experience in high volume venepuncture collections. Shifts available on a rotational roster, with typical centre hours from 8am-6pm Monday to Friday. During peak seasons, we open 7am-7pm Monday to Friday and weekends from 8am to 4pm during peak seasons

• The casual opportunity – is a true casual role, available to cover sick and annual leave cover.

What you’ll need to make it possible

Reporting to and supported by the Senior Health Assessor, Pathology Collectors/Health Assessors will be responsible for providing quality health assessments to customers undertaking a medical assessment as part of their visa application process.

The role includes:

• Identity checks, blood pressure, height, weight, body mass index, vision testing, urinalysis, and venepuncture
• Facilitate smooth delivery of the applicants through the medical assessment to ensure a timely and accurate service
• Adhere to clinical governance and associated policies and procedures
• Accurate documentation of results in eHealth record

What you'll need to make it possible

• Certificate III or IV in Pathology or 2+ years' experience at a NATA accredited service provider
• Fast paced phlebotomy experience essential
• Paediatric collection experience desirable but not essential
• Experience working with people of multi-cultural background
• Excellent customer service skills
