The Role

We're looking for an experienced and people-focused Health & Wellbeing Advisor to join our People, Culture & Safety team on a permanent full-time basis. Reporting to the Manager Health & Wellbeing, you'll play a key role in supporting the delivery of a contemporary health and wellbeing framework that helps our people stay safe, healthy and supported at work

This role combines injury management, workers compensation, mental health and wellbeing support, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement. Working closely with leaders, employees, medical professionals and insurers, you'll help achieve positive recovery outcomes while contributing to safer and healthier workplaces across Tasmania.

In this role, you will:

• Lead injury management and return to work processes, including coordination with medical practitioners, insurers and operational leaders.
• Manage workers compensation claims and claims strategies to support positive outcomes for individuals and the business.
• Provide specialist advice on health and wellbeing, including mental health, psychosocial risk and injury management practices.
• Support the delivery of health monitoring, occupational hygiene and wellbeing programs.
• Analyse data and prepare reporting to identify risks, trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and maintain health and wellbeing documentation, systems and processes.
• Partner with leaders and stakeholders to strengthen health, wellbeing and safety outcomes across the organisation.
• Contribute to projects and initiatives that support TasWater's health and safety strategy and transformational change journey.

What we're looking for

We're seeking a collaborative and empathetic professional who can balance technical expertise with a genuine commitment to supporting people through challenging circumstances.

To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:

• Demonstrated experience in injury management, workers compensation and claims management.
• Strong understanding of workplace health, wellbeing and safety legislation and contemporary practices.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and build trust across a broad range of audiences.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and presenting information to varied stakeholders.
• Qualifications in injury management and an understanding of allied health practices.
• The ability to lead and contribute to initiatives that improve health and wellbeing outcomes.
• A current Class C driver's licence and the ability to travel throughout Tasmania as required.

Highly regarded:

• Experience within the Tasmanian workers compensation environment.
• Qualifications or experience in allied health, psychology or a related discipline.
• Experience applying project management methodologies and practices.

The Details

This role can be based in either Hobart, Launceston, or Devonport and attracts a salary range of $113,918.64 - $120,247.46 per annum (inclusive of superannuation).

The role will involve occasional travel throughout Tasmania and may require overnight stays from time to time. Participation in after-hours work may also be required as business needs arise.
