Job Description

Health and Safety Trainer (4-Day Week)

£30,000 – £37,500 | Monday–Thursday | Field-Based

Make Safety Matter. Make It Stick. Make a Difference.

Are you passionate about safety and ready to step into a role where your knowledge genuinely saves lives?

We’re offering a rare opportunity to become an Industrial Trainer—delivering high-impact, hands-on training that equips people with the skills and confidence to work safely in high-risk environments. Whether you're already an experienced trainer or a safety professional ready to transition into training, this role offers purpose, variety, and long-term career growth.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll deliver engaging, practical and theory-based training across a range of critical safety disciplines, including:

  • Confined Spaces (including accredited programmes)
  • Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE)
  • Gas Detection
  • First Aid
  • Fire Safety
  • Manual Handling
  • Working at Heights
  • CCNSG Safety Passport

Training is delivered both at dedicated facilities and on client sites across the region—meaning no two days are the same.

You’ll also:

  • Conduct assessments and ensure learners meet required standards
  • Adapt training styles to suit different audiences and experience levels
  • Manage training documentation (digital and paper-based)
  • Work closely with a supportive coordination team to ensure smooth delivery

What Makes This Role Different?

  • 4-day working week (Monday–Thursday) – more time for life outside work
  • Fully equipped mobile training unit – take your classroom on the road
  • Varied delivery – from 1-day courses to multi-day programmes
  • Travel included – with all overnight stays fully expensed
  • Autonomy – work independently while being part of a close-knit team
  • Real impact – your training directly improves workplace safety

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

You might already be an experienced trainer, or someone with hands-on industry experience ready to take the next step.

Ideally, you’ll have:

  • A teaching/training qualification (e.g. Level 3 Award in Education & Training)
  • TQUK Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement
  • Experience in confined spaces or industrial safety environments
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (advantageous)

But don’t worry if you don’t tick every box:

If you have the right attitude and industry background, full training and nationally recognised qualifications will be provided.

You’ll Thrive in This Role If You:

  • Enjoy working with people and bringing learning to life
  • Can confidently engage different audiences—from new starters to experienced professionals
  • Are organised, detail-oriented, and professional
  • Are happy to travel regularly and work independently
  • Want to continuously develop your skills and career

Benefits

What You’ll Get in Return

  • Competitive salary with progression after training (£35K → £37.5K)
  • Structured onboarding and a 3-month development programme
  • Ongoing training and career development opportunities
  • Company pension scheme
  • Cycle & tech schemes
  • Free parking
  • Regular team events
  • Supportive, friendly team environment

Ready to Step Into a Role That Matters?

If you're looking for more than just a job—and want to build a career where your work has real-world impact—this could be exactly what you're looking for.
