Job Description

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Health & Safety Responsible, you will play a key role in driving Health & Safety initiatives across the market, ensuring safe workplaces, legal compliance, and strong preventive practices across all stores, offices, and operations. You oversee risk assessments, incident management, training, audits, and travel‑risk processes while partnering cross‑functionally to embed a strong safety culture.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Lead and oversee all aspects of workplace safety and compliance across our locations.
  • Ensure compliance with country specific Health & Safety laws & regulations, as well as global guidelines and routines.
  • Fosters a culture of safety and contribute to a secure environment for both employees and customers.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain Health & Safety Policies, procedures, and manuals in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments and controls, identify potential hazards, recommend corrective actions, and follow up to ensure implementation.
  • Lead incident investigations and prepare detailed reports, including root-cause analysis and preventive measures.
  • Organize and deliver health and safety training to employees (e.g. fire safety, manual handling, first aid, etc).
  • Act as the main contact for regulatory bodies, labour inspections, insurance representatives, emergency services and external healthy and safety partners.
  • Provide safety & security support for travelers & execute Travel tracker protocols, including emergency travel response plans.
  • Maintain direct contact with Prevention Delegates and Health & Safety Committees.

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

You will work closely with the Health & Safety team, Store Teams, the Construction & Facilities team, People teams, and Operations to integrate safety standards into daily operations.

WHO YOU ARE

We are looking for people with...

  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational and/or Environmental H&S or relevant related fields.
  • Certification as an Occupational Risk Prevention Specialist (Técnico Superior en Prevención de Riesgos Laborales - PRL) is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Health & Safety role, preferably within retail, logistics, or warehouse operations.
  • Experience in conducting inspections, audits, and investigations.
  • In-depth knowledge of H&S regulations, compliance standards & best practices.
  • Proficiency in incident management (reporting, data analysis for trend identification, and corrective action planning).
  • Strong understanding of occupational safety principles, accident investigation, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English both written and spoken.
  • Portugues is considered an advantage.
