Based in Queenstown, the Health & Safety Coordinator provides strategic and operational health and safety leadership across water infrastructure operations, ensuring compliance with OHSAS 18001:2007 and AS/NZS 4801 certification standards. This role drives continuous improvement in health and safety performance, manages risk effectively, and fosters a strong safety culture across all sites and operations. Reporting to the Regional Lead, the position ensures compliance with HSW Act and other relevant legislation while maintaining best practice standards.
You'll lead through influence, partnering closely with all levels of the organisation, demonstrating your abilities in communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with a proven track record in incident investigation, safety program delivery, and regulatory compliance.
The ideal candidate is organised, detail-focused and proactive, with the ability to manage competing priorities and consistently produce high-quality work.
