Job Description

 Role: Health and Safety Advisor

Client: Tier 1 - Main Contractor

Essentials: Level 7 or equivalent qualification in Health & Safety, 3+ years in construction Health and Safety with a main contractor.

Location: South Dublin

Salary: Up to €65,000.

Reporting to: Health and Safety Manager

Responsibilities:

• Provide guidance, support, and oversight to all site teams to help them effectively carry out their health and safety responsibilities.
• Ensure overall project compliance with relevant Health & Safety legislation while driving continuous improvement in the company's safety culture.
• Oversee site operations and subcontractor activities to guarantee adherence to established safety protocols and control measures.
• Conduct regular site inspections and work with key stakeholders to resolve and close out corrective actions promptly.
• Assist in drafting and reviewing critical project safety documentation (e.g., RAMS, safety plans, lift plans), including third-party submissions.
• Track and log compliance data using safety management software in line with statutory standards and internal company procedures.
• Coordinate third-party safety training for project teams with regional leads, and deliver internal safety briefings and inductions as needed.
• Lead and support comprehensive accident and incident investigations following standard company procedures.
• Contribute to performance evaluations and safety appraisals for supply chain partners and subcontractors.
• Compile site-level safety metrics and progress reports for submission to senior management in a timely manner.
• Fulfill key duties as defined in project safety guidelines and direct instructions from the safety management team.
