Job Description

We are looking for a Health & Safety Advisor to support our Business Partners in promoting safe and sustainable working practices. You will help drive our ambition of Zero Harm by ensuring health, safety, and wellbeing objectives are achieved across the organisation.

What You’ll Do
  • Investigate significant incidents, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.

  • Provide coaching and guidance to stakeholders on health and safety matters.

  • Conduct site inspections, audits, and technical monitoring surveys to ensure compliance and best practice.

  • Support risk assessments, method statements, and health and safety change initiatives.

  • Deliver training, toolbox talks, and awareness briefings to teams.

  • Collaborate with operational teams to embed safety at all stages of work.

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and improvement activities.

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate and Technical Membership of IOSH.

  • Experience in risk management, incident investigations, audits, and site inspections.

  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation, strategies, and best practice.

  • Strong technical and engineering understanding.

  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently, plan, and prioritise workload effectively.

  • This is a regional role requiring regular travel to sites, along with attendance at our Hatfield office once per week.

Desirable:

  • NEBOSH Diploma or working towards it.

  • Experience within the utilities or construction sectors.

  • Salary: £42,000 plus dependant on skills and experience
