Health and Safety Advisor

Join us in a role where your actions help safeguard one of the UK’s most complex construction projects every day. At EDF, Success is Personal, and as a Health and Safety Advisor you’ll support safe behaviours, guide confident decision‑making and help thousands of people work securely on this landmark site.

The Opportunity

As a Health and Safety Advisor, you’ll help uphold the highest standards across a complex construction environment, contributing to a culture of care and continuous improvement. Your work will support our drive towards An Electric Britain by helping maintain a safe and resilient site.

You’ll join us on a salary starting of at least £65,000 per annum, with the possibility of overtime and weekend working. You’ll be based on site five days a week at #HinkleyPointC, Monday to Friday.

You’ll be part of a supportive professional community, working closely with construction teams, safety specialists and technical experts. You’ll build strong relationships, learn from varied disciplines, and develop your capability in a world‑class project environment.

Who You Are

We’re looking for a Health and Safety Advisor who communicates clearly, builds trust and enjoys working within large, fast‑paced project teams. Are you experienced in…

NEBOSH Construction qualification
Working within highly complex industries, ideally nuclear or similarly demanding environments
Providing health and safety advice across large multidisciplinary teams
Applying CDM Regulations in major construction or infrastructure settings
Delivering risk‑based inspections and assurance activities
To be appointed to this role, you will need to meet the criteria for Security Vetting, which will, ordinarily, require you to have been a resident of the UK for at least three of the past five years.

What You’ll Be Doing

Providing technical health and safety advice to project and contractor teams
Supporting risk‑based inspections, audits and monitoring activities
Advising on CDM compliance and construction safety requirements
Contributing to incident investigations and reporting
Influencing safe behaviours across multidisciplinary site teams

Pay, Benefits and Culture

Alongside a starting salary of at least £65,000 per annum, potential for an annual bonus, and a market‑leading pension scheme, your package will include customisable benefits such as electric vehicle leasing, discounted gym membership, life assurance, tech vouchers, experience days, and more.

At EDF, we believe there are multiple definitions of what it means to succeed. That’s why we offer you the freedom to develop a career that’s unique to you. Here, Success is Personal – it’s your journey, powered by us.

Everyone is welcome at EDF; we’re committed to building a workforce that reflects gender balance, social mobility, and inclusion of minority ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ+ communities, and those with disabilities. As a Disability Confident employer, we will support applicants requiring adjustments.
