Job Description

Leading organisation in the railway electrification sector requires a SHEQ Advisor, who will be responsible for covering sites in Scotland and Northern England. As this position is in the rail industry, you must be willing to work nights and weekends on a regular basis.

Responsibilities:

• Promote a strong Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental (HSQE) culture within the business
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry legislation
• Make sure all staff have the appropriate resources, training and competencies to safely deliver their work
• Help the HSQE Manager to identify risks and come up with strategies to overcome them
• Put in place initiatives for improvement
• Carry out health and safety audits on site
• Conduct health and safety investigations when required
• Support the implementation of behavioural quality and positive changes in safety culture

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Health & Safety Advisor / SHEQ Advisor in the rail or construction sectors
• NEBOSH certificate
• PTS
• Driving licence
• Willingness to travel
• Understanding of railway standards, processes and procedures
