The ability to travel locally throughout the northern Virginia region isrequired,POV mileage is reimbursable.Additionaltravel within the Continental United States may berequired

Candidates mustpossessan active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance

Primary Responsibilities

The contractor Health and Fitness specialist willbe responsible forworking with government management to plan, oversee, and execute a comprehensive Health and Fitness program consistent with established standards and focused on individual exercise programming, fitness assessments, wellness events, workshops, seminars, group exercise, and nutrition counselingThis may include but is not limited to:

  • Develop, lead,assistand deliver health and wellbeing briefings, workshops, events, and seminars

  • Provide health and wellbeing consultations and services to individuals, including fitness goal setting and customized fitness programs

  • Provide individuals and group fitness participants with enhanced knowledge of exercise, bodyalignmentand exercise safety.

  • Support the planning, management, and evaluation of fitness programs and equipment

  • Perform administrative tasks, such as fitness facility oversight and equipment assessment

  • Attend meetings and provide written, weekly activity reports.

  • Serveas substitute if primary instructor is unable to teach agroup exerciseclass

Required:

  • Active Top Secret/SCIwith polygraph security clearance

  • Activepersonal trainingcertificationfromat least one of the following:

  • American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM)

  • American Council on Exercise (ACE) National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM)

  • National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA)

  • Additionalequivalent certificationfrom a nationally recognized organizationin the field of health and fitness may be accepted with review

  • Active CPR and AED certification

  • 5 years of work experience as a health fitness specialist or exercise physiologistsetting fitness goals, and planningmanaging customized fitness programs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science or related field

  • National Strength and Conditioning Association– Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist(NSCA-CSCD)

  • The ideal candidate must be available to workwithin5:30am – 5:30pm.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $65,650.00 - $118,675.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
