Applications are now being accepted for a Head Wheelchair Basketball Coach - Winter - Scale 6

Salary range of $3,409.00 - $5,238.00 to be paid in 2 pays

2026-2027 School Year

All applicants must possess a valid Ohio Certificate/License/Permit in the appropriate area.

Proper athletic certification is required for this assignment, if hired. These can be submitted with your application if complete. Applicants who are not yet certified may apply.

  1. Coaches' Tool Chest - https://coachestoolchest.com/ - $49 fee; will certify you in all needed areas including Fundamentals of Coaching, First Aid for Coaches, Concussion Training, CPR Training, and Sudden Cardiac Arrest Training. This will need to be renewed yearly.
  2. Apply for or submit a Pupil Activity Permit (PAP) - through the Ohio Department of Education. Price varies depending on the length of permit you qualify for; typically a 3 or 5 year permit. If you do not have an OH-ID login, one must be created for initial access. For more details, please visit the ODE website:

About Montgomery County Educational Service Center

The Montgomery County Educational Service Center provides a robust array of educational services to 16 public school districts in Montgomery County and over 90 educational entities in multiple counties across the Greater Dayton region. The MCESC is supported by over 600 employees and interacts directly with over 800 employees in partner educational institutions.

The MCESC operates two remote learning centers and an annex providing occupational and physical therapy services directly to school districts and families throughout the community. In addition, the MCESC provides outreach to schools and families with speech and hearing pathologists.

The MCESC is the home to the regional Learn to Earn Dayton Collaborative reinforcing educational best practices. The program also supports and advocates for Preschool Promise and Early Learning.
