Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Waiter to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fine dining and a strong understanding of French cuisine. As the Head Waiter, you will be responsible for overseeing the front-of-house operations and ensuring that our guests receive impeccable service. You will work closely with the restaurant manager to maintain high standards and create a memorable dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

- Greet and welcome guests in a warm and professional manner

- Manage and supervise the front-of-house staff, including servers, hosts, and bartenders

- Train new staff members and provide ongoing training and development for current staff

- Ensure that all guests are seated and served in a timely and efficient manner

- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the dining area

- Take and process guest orders accurately and efficiently

- Ensure that all food and drinks are served according to the restaurant's standards

- Coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food to guests

- Handle any guest complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner

- Maintain knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and wine list

- Prepare and present guest checks, process payments, and handle cash and credit card transactions

- Assist in inventory management and ordering of supplies

- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and maintain a safe and clean work environment

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role in a fine dining restaurant

- Strong knowledge of French cuisine and wine

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to lead and motivate a team

- Exceptional customer service skills

- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

- Knowledge of POS systems and basic math skills

- Fluent in English, knowledge of French is a plus

- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
