About the Role

As our Head Vet Nurse, you’ll be both a clinical leader and hands-on nurse, helping drive standards, teamwork, and great patient outcomes. Your role includes:

  • Leading, mentoring, and developing our nursing team
  • Supporting daily workflow and ensuring a great client experience
  • Assisting in consultations and surgical procedures
  • Monitoring anaesthetics and patient recovery
  • Taking and processing radiographs
  • Performing dental prophylaxis
  • Administering medications and maintaining exceptional clinical standards

About You

You are someone who:

  • A Certificate IV in Vet Nursing with a minimum of 3 years experience
  • Has solid veterinary nursing background (leadership experience a bonus!)
  • Communicates confidently with clients, patients, and your team
  • Stays calm, organised, and proactive, even on busy days
  • Leads with positivity, teamwork, and a passion for high-quality care
  • Engages and motivates your team through great communication
  • Actively keeps up to date with modern nursing skills and best practice
  • Loves teaching, mentoring, and fostering emerging talent
  • Wants to help shape and grow a supportive, high-performing clinic culture
