Location: Wollongbar TAFE Campus

Permanent Full Time

$158,345 salary package - includes base salary ($139,508), plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

About the role

We’re seeking a motivated leader to be the next Head Teacher of Plumbing! You will lead our experienced TAFE Teachers and inspire the next generation of Plumbing students

Share your skills and passion for your industry, build the skills, qualifications, and employability, and support the career goals of our students.

About You

To be successful in the role, you will:

• Hold appropriate subject knowledge and skills, and at minimum hold a Certificate III in Plumbing and Certificate IV in Plumbing and or equivalent.
• Desirable but not essential: Certificate III in Roof Plumbing.
• Have a minimum of five years post-qualification industry experience relevant to your qualifications, gained no longer than five years previously.
• Hold evidence of the required teaching qualification to deliver Vocational Education and Training (VET). See the candidate support document here for details.
• Hold (AQF) Level 5 or higher qualification in Vocational Education and Training (VET)/ Adult Education OR
• Hold a TAE 40116 or equivalent and commit to obtaining the AQF Level 5 or higher qualification within 18 months of employment
• Be prepared to develop and maintain your VET knowledge and skills as well as your industry currency, and trainer/assessor competence.
