
Capital Area Head Start is seeking Substitutes to join our mission in providing a comprehensive child development program designed to give children a headstartin life, empowering parents and strengthening families. Substitutes support classroom staff in the delivery of quality educational programming, ensuring the safety of children ages 3-5, andassistingwith the implementation of daily lesson plans and activities.
Position Details:
$15.35 per hour
Casual/Per Diem,Non Exemptposition
Schedule: Hours between 7:30AM and 4:30PM based on center
Positions available in Dauphin and Cumberland counties

MinimumRequirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Basic computer skills, ability to use Microsoft Word, Outlook and learnweb basedsystems
Ability to travel to home visits, training, and other locations
Successful completion of pre-employment process, including Criminal History, Child Abuse and FBI clearances
Preferred Qualifications:
Preschool CDA orAssociate’s degree in early childhood education
Experience working with young children
Participation in Head Start or Early Head Start
Bi/multi-lingual
