Job Category: Nonprofit - Social ServicesThe position works independently on comprehensive case management activities for families in accordance with Head Start Performance Standards. The position advises and assists individuals and families with a variety of issues and/or challenges through the Family Partnership and Agreement Plan (FPAP). The Head Start Pathway Specialist creates, provides, and coordinates services and activities with families and communities that foster strength, healthy living, and overall well-being.

Qualifications
- Pathway Specialist I:   Bachelor's in family studies, child development, social work or a related field is required, plus one year of Early Childhood Studies (ECS) case management experience.
- Pathway Specialist II:  Associate's degree in family studies, child development, social work or a related field is required, plus one year of ECS case management experience.
- Pathway Specialist III: High school diploma or GED is required. Must obtain a credential or certification in social work, human services, family services, counseling or a related field within eighteen (18) months of hire.

Community Action Council for Lexington-Fayette, Bourbon, Harrison, and Nicholas Counties, Inc. works to address the causes and conditions of poverty locally.

As the designated community action agency for Lexington-Fayette, Bourbon, Harrison and Nicholas counties, we create opportunities for individuals and families that assist them in becoming self-sufficient. To that end, the Council focuses its resources on child and youth development, family development (including social and economic self-sufficiency), employment strategies, health, transportation, safety net (emergency) services, housing services, economic development, technology, and volunteerism.

As we commemorate the 50th anniversary of the War on Poverty, we are pleased with the many accomplishments we have garnered, while openly cognizant of the challenges before us.
