Job Purpose:

Develop, lead and manage the SMF team to drive loan growth & achieve AHIB’s business objectives.

Job Requirements:

Product Strategy, Planning, and Expansion
1. Formulation of strategy for AHIB's leveraged finance products via extensive market research, analyse competitive marketplace and industry trends, as well as periodic assessments of the target clients;
2. Innovate and introduce a wider breadth of leveraged finance products and services for the retail clients to ensure attractiveness of our products in the market (such as via competitive interest rates, unique terms and conditions of the share margin facilities etc.);
3. Business development charge to drive the products, and to continually improve the offerings based on feedback from the sales personnel;
4. Explore cross-selling of the Group's solutions and products to clients (both new and existing), and identify possible opportunities to promote AHIB's leverage products;
5. Handle other related tasks assigned by the Head of SMFCERD from time to time.
Business Management, Execution and Performance
6. Ensure business of leveraged finance products delivers its annual and long-term financial and non-financial targets, and contributes in growing AHIB's retail market share;
7. Work with Marketing team on sales and marketing strategies, marketing collaterals, advertising materials, marketing campaigns, roadshows and other promotional activities;
8. Conduct product briefings and trainings for the sales personnel and clients (such as business presentations, client events, marketing roadshows etc.);
9. Work across the business and operations and actively interact with the Head of Retail Business, Credit, Securities Operations as well as existing and potential clients; to build and maintain strategic key relationships, and managing, driving, and growing a substantial pipeline of business activities and network for AHIB.
Regulatory Compliance and Adherence
10. Facilitate compliance with AHIB's risk management framework for leveraged finance products together with the Head of Credit Management and Chief Risk Officer, as well as closely monitoring of the exposures and risks associated with the products while ensuring the business profitability and sustainability;
11. Review and provide recommendation to update the risk management framework periodically / as and when required to balance the growth of business and risk exposure;
12. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, AHIB’s policies and procedures.

Candidate Requirements:

1. 10 or more years of stockbroking experience at an established financial institution, with at least 5 years in a management leadership role (exception may be considered based on credentials)
2. Proven track record of meeting progressive performance targets
3. Sound understanding of regulations, and deep industry and market knowledge with a proven record of translating this into effective business strategies to grow the business
4. Extensive business network and well regarded in the financial services community
5. Strong leadership skills in building a high-performing organisation and collaborative culture
6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with different levels of stakeholders and employees
7. Sound cultural sensitivity to manage relationships with people from diverse cultures
